Decent room with a brand new bathroom. Room basic but freshly painted and new carpets too. Floor 1 has had bathrooms renovated so bare that in mind when you book. Breakfast hot and plentiful, asked for butter and they appeared back within minutes to restock. Booked Afternoon Tea as a Mothers Day treat, was lovely and fresh served in the beautiful ballroom.

When looking at some of the bad reviews I was a bit worried, however the hotel exceeded my expectations. My room was on the 5th floor, so in the "cheap end" - however it was not run down and everything worked fine. The hotel must have been spectacular during its heyday, and the main public rooms still show the former glory. I was wondering why there were not many people there, as I thoroughly enjoyed sitting and working there in the evening, listening to nice soothing classical music. The check-in was fast and the staff were friendly. (The people in line before me had problems, as they did not have any ID with them, but it must be noted, that the hotel had sent me an information well before that the ID will be required.) I particularly liked the kind night porter with whom I had a good chat about the history of the hotel, and who gave me a booklet with more information. Cheers!

The room was exceptionally comfortable. The location of the hotel was ideal - not far from Lime Street station, and not far frm the Philharmonic Hall where I was attending a concert.

We've been reading reviews for The Adelphi for a good while now. I have to say when we arrived, and after completing our stay of 2 nights, I really do wonder what people need to complain about. As a child, The Adelphi was somewhere you'd never get to stay at, a real icon of the City. So, it was just simply unreal after 65 years to be able to say I stayed at The Adelphi. My mum and Dad wouldn't believe me LOL. The building is amazing, oozes history. The staff we encountered (Judith for one), and the check in guy (who's name we did not get) we're really pleasant and helpful. We Loved, the ease of check in, and the location is about the best in the city (away from the waterfront that is). The room was for the money, more than adequate. A bit too warm, but that's about it. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was functional. We didn't use the bars or restaurant. Well done, The Adelphi.

I was a bit worried due to the hotel having bad rating but overall the hotel exceeded our expectations, the hotel is a bit tired but it is a stunning building in a great location. Upon arrival there was a lady complaining there was no hot water but we had a shower when we got to the room. Husband enjoyed breakfast but I was going to a dental appointment so didnt partake but it did look delicious

Spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent cleanliness, and attentive staff. Perfect location, just a five-minute walk from the train station and close to many tourist attractions. The bathroom was renovated, with an excellent shower and good water pressure. The breakfast, which was not included in our booking, is very well served and reasonably priced.
